What better way to get to know me than discussing some of my all time favorite reads. I think that a person's favorite books says a lot about them and their personality. So, in no particular order, here are some of my favorite books:
Starting with a new addition to my favorite's list; A Little Life by Hanya Yanagiara. This book destroyed me in a way that I feel I'll never recover from. The characters in this book are so authentic that it's hard to believe that they're fictional. If there's one book I think you should read in your adult life, it's this one. It is utter brilliance, and I've never read anything like it.
The next couple of books is a series from my childhood that I'll carry with me and reread forever. The Summer I Turned Pretty Trilogy is a comfort read of mine, one I read every summer. It has recently been adapted by Amazon Prime Video into a TV series, and fans have loved it. They are currently filming Season 2 based on the second book, It's Not Summer Without You.
There are two books that I think every girl in their early 20s should read, and those are Black Swans by Eve Babitz and everything I know about love by Dolly Alderton. Both of these works follow the authors navigating and exploring the world at an age where you're expected to. As a woman in her 20s, most of the topics discussed are relatable, and allows the reader to see their lives in new lights.
There are so many more books that I could immortalize here under my favorites, but I'll save them for another time. I hope you learned a little about me based on some of my favorite books.
I hope the next book you pick up is a new favorite! <3
