High praise has been sung for Delia Owen's 2018 novel, Where the Crawdads Sing. The story follows a young girl, Kya, who grows up in the marshes of North Carolina after being abandoned by her whole family. The book has recently been adapted for the big screens starring new comer Daisy Edgar-Jones, who also starred in the book-to-series adaptation of Normal People on Hulu.
Since its publication, Where the Crawdads Sing has received many accolades including NY Times Best Seller and the British Book Award. Many readers have claimed the novel to be a new classic, one that will be read for decades to come.
